Well I knew it was a long shot but we signed Gracelyn up for soccer. She went to 2 practices and decided that it was not her thing. We enjoyed getting to know our neighbors better though. Most the kids were in her class so that was nice to get to know more parents as well. Some of the excuses that she came up with to get out of it were hilarious.
1. I don't want to wear a purple t-shirt. They are hot.
2. The purple socks are ugly. (We weren't going to make her wear them, they were Keely's hand-me-downs so we had them around the house.)
3. All the running makes my hair sweaty. (This one lets me know that she has a little Aunt Nae in her.)
4. I played already.
I'm sure as the season wore on we would have heard more. We made the family decision to just call the coach and bow out before the first game. She was thrilled to not go to practice last night.
I would like to send a bill to the school district's landscaping department though because she successfully picked all the weeds in the back of the school during those two practices.
Gracelyn asked when the dance classes started back at AC. That's more like it!

I have to admit that Grace does sound ALOT like me....I still don't like for my hair to get all yucky!!
What girl would want sweaty hair??? :)
Yes, soccer doesn't seem to be her thing. What a champ to know that so young! I hope she has fun in her ballet classes:)
Gracelyn, I don't blame you one bit. I don't like to get sweaty either!
