Mason has had the week from h-e-double hockey stick. He fell of the bed on Monday morning and bumped his noggin. Although it was rough he stopped crying pretty quickly so that made me feel better. He got a little rug burn to show off. On Wednesday afternoon he was sleeping on my sister's bed and rolled off. Now to her defense she didn't know he isn't allowed on the bed any more because just the week before he had successfully taken a nap without exploring the edges of the bed. So he fell on to non-carpet and got a pretty good little bruise. Again he stopped crying as soon as he was picked up. Or so I was told...(to make me feel good I'm sure)
I started tutoring this week. Wednesday I went to school and took a deep breath and did it. I walked into a middle school and didn't get the hibby jibbies. I haven't particularly liked working with older kids. Funny how I have been intimidated by them. The morning was spent talking with the principal about what my goals were and where the kids were level wise. The afternoon was spent meeting the kids and getting a feel for them. Some had chips on their shoulder, some were nice, and some were really clueless. Made for an interesting assessment...
I will continue going on Wednesdays 10:30-3:30 for the rest of the year I guess. The money is EXCELLENT and I can't complain. I do have a friend there that I was able to talk to for a few minutes and reconnect with. She is precious and made my day. I also know the PE teacher as well so that was fun.
Renay kept the boys for me and much to my surprise Mason took a bottle of breast milk from her. All 4 oz. YEA!!! I was beyond excited about it. So then I gave him 2 oz today and he drank it like I was an idiot for ever being concerned about his bottle issues. WAHOOOOO!!!! I am so thankful he realized a bottle isn't so bad.
So that leads us to plan B. I have been wanting to wean Mason for a while and this might be our lead into weaning. I don't know. I want it to be a slow process and I haven't totally made my mind up about it all but at least have the option if I want to. He drank 3 oz of formula tonight after I nursed him before bed so I am hoping that means he will sleep through the night. OF COURSE I AM NOT HOLDING MY BREATH!!! But we will see.
In the morning we get to go to the Fair Parade. I am so excited. The kids will love it. I am getting some good seats with a friend from church so we should be in for a treat. I will post pictures tomorrow.
Have a blessed weekend.

First of all, ROCK ON on the bottle!! I'm happy for you. I remember how excited I was when Beckett finally took it!
And poor Mason! These two are definitely related because Beckett has a habit of launching himself off things as well. The other day, I put him in the corner of the couch with the arm on one side and Sawyer on the other, thinking he couldn't go anywhere. Turned my back for ten seconds and heard a commotion -- turn back around and he had somehow climbed over the arm and toppled onto the floor. Crazy boys!
~;-) I LOVE MASON!!!! I LOVE MASON!!! I'm your #1 FAN!!!! That is why I let you roll off my bed and none of the rest of the kiddos. Your my boy!!!
